Join the Conversation

A seat at the table. A voice in Detroit's schools.

Host or join a focused, 60-minute conversation with C. A. Hubbard, PhD about Detroit's public schools, what families and communities need, and how thoughtful people near and far can help.

Listen. Understand. Govern Together. Measure. Learn.

No contribution is required. These are listening and engagement conversations—not fundraisers.

Three ways in

Choose how you’ll help.

Allan is the candidate. For means service, representation, and accountability. All means every Detroit resident has a stake in public education — and that public education is connected to a wider civic world. Participation is open; voting and contribution eligibility are separate questions and are never assumed here.

  • PEOPLE — In the District

    Help where the decisions land.

If you live, work, learn, teach, raise a family, or serve a neighborhood within the DPSCD community, host or join a conversation and help identify what the Board must hear, measure, and act on.

    Available actions

    • RSVP for a confirmed conversation
    • Request to host a small table
    • Volunteer with listening and outreach
    • Share a school or neighborhood concern
    • Make a voting plan if eligible
  • PEOPLE — Out of the District

Support Detroit without speaking over Detroit.

If you are outside the DPSCD district but connected to Detroit's children, schools, institutions, alumni, or future, help convene people, make responsible introductions, volunteer, or listen and learn.

    Available actions

    • Join or request a discussion
    • Introduce an educator, alumnus, civic group, or institution
    • Volunteer remotely or in person
    • Share relevant expertise or resources
    • Contribute only through a separate compliant process if legally eligible
  • ALL — Transnational

Connect Detroit to the wider world.

Detroit's educational future is local in authority and global in consequence. Join a civic-learning conversation, share relevant experience, or volunteer within the boundaries of U.S. election law.

    Available actions

    • Attend a virtual or approved in-person conversation
    • Share nonfinancial educational or civic experience
    • Volunteer without compensation when legally permitted
    • Introduce lawful, non-campaign learning connections

    Eligibility notice

Participation is welcome; eligibility rules still apply. Foreign nationals may not donate, pay campaign expenses, provide event space or meals as a campaign contribution, fundraise, or participate in campaign financial or administrative decision-making. They may participate as uncompensated volunteers when permitted by law.

Hosting

Four ways to hold a table

  • Host at home

The exact address stays private until attendance is approved and the event is confirmed.

  • Meet at a recommended public place

Subject to business hours, written venue permission, availability, capacity, cost, and campaign approval.

  • Suggest another accessible place

The campaign reviews it before publication.

  • Join virtually

Especially for the transnational path, or where a physical venue does not fit the requested hour.

Prefer a Place Outside the Home?

Preferred-place ideas are subject to the venue's current hours, policies, availability, written permission, and campaign approval. Selecting a place is a request—not a reservation. No listed organization is presented as endorsing or sponsoring Allan for All.
